I am delighted to announce that Edgbaston Hockey Club has been awarded funding from Allianz Insurance, as part of their Allianz Sports Fund. This provides funding to grassroots sports clubs, who deliver accessible sporting opportunities for their local area. On behalf of the Club, I would like to thank Allianz for this funding. Sports clubs play a vital role in communities, bringing people together in a way which supports physical health and wellbeing, and a chance to connect with people of all ages and sporting ability. With this in mind, EHC Committee has elected to use this funding to cover a proportion of our Club Day costs.
Club Day is dedicated to celebrating our existing members, welcoming new ones, and offer a fun environment to play hockey. This year, we start the day with Junior and Goal Keeper Masterclasses, followed by games for Juniors and an Adult Hockey Tournament. It’s run by volunteers who are passionate about this club and what it delivers - happy hockey for all ages and abilities.
So, even if you’ve never picked up a stick before, or a seasoned player, or enthusiastic about umpiring the game, come and join us for a day of fun, sociable hockey. For more information, keep reading!
Thank you to Mark Wood for sharing the opportunity, and Elliot Trussell and Phil Pagani for completing the application.
Many Thanks,
Anna
